NO POWER TOOLS NEEDED: DIY wood paneling doesn’t have to be difficult or time consuming. All our wood wall planks are easy to install. Each panel comes with self-adhesive tape and makes installation fun and easy. Just peel and stick!

VARIABLE SURFACE APPLICATION: Our peel and stick wood planks can be installed on different type of surfaces including textured walls, backsplashes, countertops and ceilings. When installed on textured surfaces, in places where the temperature can exceed 125° F. (e.g. near a fireplace or heater) or in rooms that can become damp (e.g. a bathroom), you will need additional adhesive. We recommend a high-quality polyurethane construction adhesive be applied to the back of each plank.

AUTHENTIC REAL WOOD: All our wood wall planks are responsibly sourced and created by hand. Each panel has been heated at 400+ degree in oxygen-free environment to promote durability and longevity while giving each plank the feel and look of reclaimed wood.

Use a J ROLLER to apply uniform pressure to ensure adhesion.

Installation Guide

REQUIRED TOOLS AND MATERIALS:

4’ level, Saw (Miter Saw, Jigsaw, Fine Tooth Hand Saw or Utility Knife), Pencil, J-roller, Dust Mask.

PRIOR TO INSTALLATION:

Allow planks to acclimate by placing them in the area you are installing for 48-72 hours.

WoodyWalls planks can be installed on variety of surfaces such as walls, ceilings, doors, backsplashes, kitchen cabinets and headboards.

Inspect planks thoroughly prior to installation. Avoid using any damaged boards to ensure proper adhesion and to prevent any future problems.

Use caution while working around wall outlets and light switches.

Keep your HVAC at 60-75ºF for a few days prior to installation as well as during and after installation.

DO NOT install as flooring.

DO NOT install in the areas with humidity level above 80% (e.g. bathroom) or the areas where the temperature exceeds 125º F (e.g. near fireplace).

INSTALLATION GUIDE:

1. Clean the wall surface. Remove all debris, dust, grease, cover plates and protruding nails.

2. Use planks from different bundles to ensure even mix of colors.

3. Dry-lay planks before permanently installing to create your desired pattern*, especially if you are working with multicolor boards.

4. With the use of a pencil and a 4’ level draw a line across the wall 5’’ below the ceiling to create your reference line.

5. Using the reference line as a guide, peel the paper off the 3M adhesive and position the starter row planks groove side up along your line. Press into place.

6. After placing your starter row, apply firm steady pressure along the entire row of planks. Use J-Roller to ensure that steady even pressure is applied to the entire surface, since our adhesive is pressure sensitive.

7. Always use a dust mask to protect yourself from inhaling any debris from cutting wood planks.

8. Make sure to mark locations of light switches, electrical outlets and air vents on the plank before removing the paper liner on the tape.

9. When installing your top and bottom rows, cut the planks lengthwise by using a jigsaw or table saw.

10. Use sanding block to smooth the cut edges if needed.

CARE AND CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:

WoodyWalls Planks are made from real wood materials, the use of dry cloth should be the primary method of cleaning.

Do not use any abrasive cleaners, polishes, wax or oil-based products on your wall.

Wall Décor such as mirrors, pictures, TV’s and shelves can be mounted by drilling THROUGH the boards and using industry standard techniques for installation on the underlying substrate.

FAQs

Woody Walls peel and stick wood panels are a fast, convenient way to add style and flair to any space. With a variety of colors and textures to choose from, you can transform any wall into an eye-catching statement piece in less than a day. Are you considering adding peel and stick wood panels to your home or office space but still have questions? Here are the answers to the more frequently asked questions about our peel and stick wood panels.

Do Peel and Stick Wood Panels Damage Walls?

Woody Walls peel and stick panels utilize semi-permanent self-adhesive tape for their application. If you choose to remove Woody Walls panels, you will need to pry them from the wall. Once the planks are detached, the adhesive will need to be removed from the work surface, and some minor repairs may need to be made. To reduce damage, we recommend installing plywood on the wall before your Woody Walls installation. This way, you won’t have to repair your entire wall after removal, only the areas where the holes were drilled.

How Much Do Peel and Stick Wood Panels Cost?

At Woody Walls, we pride ourselves on providing quality products at an affordable price designed to fit any budget. All our 100% real wood peel and stick panels - no matter the variety - are reasonably priced at $7.64 per square foot, with each box of peel and stick paneling costing just $149. 1 review for Natural Gray, Warm Sand - Peel and Stick Planks

  1. Renee

We covered a wall where a previous homeowner had painted over peel and stick wallpaper. Who does that? (NEVER DO THAT!) It is a main wall in our house and someone had tried to remove the wallpaper at some point so it was a hideous wall where they gave up and just painted over all of the problems.

    Look at it now!

I am going to give you lots of detail about how to use this product because we literally perfected how to use it!

    1. Prep: If you are painting over paint, clean the wall with rubbing alcohol, which takes some of the sheen off the paint and allows for better sticking.
    2. We put vertical lines on the wall as guides for the butted lines so they would line up down the wall. We divided the wall into 5ths in our case. (It meant that every board had to be cut but it was worth it).
    3. Lay your design out on the floor FIRST. You may not like your original design once you see it laid out.
We used sort of a standard subway tile pattern for the gray and tan colors:
    GTG
    TTG
    TGT
    GGT
    Repeat
(We had 20 rows, so I used a pattern that works for that)
(I could not find ANY sources for laying out a pattern so I thought I would share).
We could not do a random pattern because we had only so much material and we ended up with only a few extras after some issues, so make sure you lay out your pattern. This helped us enormously! So little waste.

    Tools:
    1. Miter saw with a fine blade (the video says you can use a utility knife, too. We did not try that and we know it would take more than twice as long to install this if you do that. But you can - just create a design that reduces cutting by a LOT.)
    2. Jig saw for cutting around the receptacles, if necessary.
    3. Crowbars (small, medium, large to deal with baseboard. We took our design down to the poorly installed floor we have and will be adding a unique baseboard to cover the gap that exists from a bad flooring install.

We LOVE these peel and stick wall panels. The colors are a tad lighter than they appear in the product deals, which I was SO GLAD about. It took us a couple of days to do this (I would say about 5 hours a day because we are old and we got tired).

I am going to put this in my bathroom next. Boy, I am so excited that I could do this to update a home I just bought that I am not that thrilled about esthetically. This wall changes the whole vibe of my home, which I have decorated in what I call "Artistic Mountain Modern."
